Thysis

In this hub, you'll run into the Mummy, a monster who wields a powerful weapon but who can also be cut down to size much in the same way as the Black Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail. The main focus of this level is to collect all of the sacred Canopic jars. At the end, you will challenge the third of Eidolon's Horsemen, Pestilence. Beginning at the Temple of Horus, go up the stairs and continue through the door bearing the scarab symbol. Take note of the signs. Head left, go up a ramp, and through a door. Go into the square with the four columns and a giant statue with folded arms. Follow a hall to the left, and continue until you get to a balcony over a decorated obelisk. Jump down and go down through the passage under the balcony. Come to a miniature pyramid, jump up, and hit the ankh symbol on the wall, and go through the door that will open. Dodge the cobra's projectiles and immediately press on the loose portion of the wall to the right. Get the Eye of Horus and quickly hit the button to shut off the cobra. Proceed through the door that opens. Go into the room and follow the ramp down on the left. Continue down the hall until you reach a small red bridge going across a ravine. Move to the left of the bridge, look down, and spot a thin plank stretching across the ravine below. Jump down onto it, break the wall, and go forward through the passage, and keep going until you reach a room with a table and a body. Jump up to get the Key of Anubus. Read the message. Walk back out onto the plank and drop down to the right. Find your way to the room with the blue teleporter and exit. Return to the red bridge above the ravine. Cross the bridge, unlock the door, and find the message concerning Ra. Exit through the blue teleporter. Make a right, drop down, and turn left. Go through the new passage. Continue to the room with the Tome of Power and the bust of Anubus. Put the Eye of Horus in front of the bust and go through the passage that opens up behind you. Go left into a room with red teleporters and an ankh symbol on the floor. Turn left at the ankh and head toward the red teleporter leading to the Palace of the Pharaoh. Go up the flight of stairs and climb right onto the ledge. Jump down into the pool before the tube entrance on the right and hit the button. Hop up into the tube and follow it down into some water. In the water and to the right shoot the chest and get the Scarab of Time. Return to the tube and go back through, all the way back, to the red teleporter leading to the Temple of Horus. Now head straight across and into the red teleporter leading to the Temple of Nefertum. Follow the ruinous pathway until you get to the front of the temple with the two ramps leading up. Go up, continue down the hall, and go through the blue teleporter at the end.

At the Wheel of Time, turn left, and read the sign. A door off to the right will open up. Enter the door and follow the hall to the big blue Portal of Set teleporter. Pass through and go into the Ancient Temple of Nefertum 1000 years ago. Go through the set of doors, continue down a ramp, and break the wall to the left. Follow the corridor up the ramp, then jump down, and go down the hall to the left. Continue past the sculpture of four snakes, climb up stairs, and go up the ramp. At the barred doorway, hit the button to open a door behind the jar. Return to the room with the four snakes and enter the teleporter leading to the Shrine of Naos. Break the vase on the left to reveal a floor switch. Activate the switch and the sarcophagus will open. Go through the passage, up a ramp on the right or left, and go through the blue teleporter. Leap down to the feet of the giant statue to the left. Read the sign about realigning the wheels of time. Pass through the statue's feet and press the wall to reveal the passage. Follow the passage up and through a door. Turn left just past the gazebo and hit the camouflaged button just past the wall torch. Enter the gazebo through the new door and get lifted up to a room. Enter the blue teleporter, and you'll find yourself in the lap of the giant statue. Get the Guardian Key. Jump down and head back through the statue's feet. Return to the room with the gazebo and go right down a ramp. Hit the camouflaged button just past the golden arch. Look at the wall in front of you with the three squares. Make a note of the patterns because you'll need them to negotiate a puzzle later on. Enter the teleporter on the left. Drop down and enter the red teleporter, leading to the Ancient Temple of Neferum. Turn right at the four snakes and hit the wall trigger to the left of the statue. This opens a door. Go through the door, follow the hall to the left, and go up the ramps leading up to the temple. Go up a ramp and continue down the hall to the left. Open the door with the bird symbol on it. Enter a room with a sarcophagus in the middle. Run over to the coffin that has just opened on the right and hit the button to stop the fireballs. Get on top of the sarcophagus and hit the button on the wall. The sarcophagus will open, as will a secret passage. Collect the rough-cut gem from the sarcophagus. Follow the secret passage all the way to a bridge lined with nine buttons bearing eye symbols. Try walking across using one of the three patterns of green squares you took note of earlier as a guideline (this may take a few tries, but you'll eventually complete the sequence). Grab the Canopic jar.

Find your way back to the blue teleporter and go through. Once at the ancient Wheel of Time, press the eye-button on the wall repeatedly, stopping when the wheel has reached the Constellation of the Hippopotamus. Hit the button on the right wall and open the secret passage. Follow the passage to a blue teleporter leading back to the contemporary Temple of Nefertum. Go back to the teleporter leading to the Temple of Horus and enter. Find the red teleporter that leads to the Pyramid of Anubus. Go through the red teleporter leading to the Pyramid of Anubis. Walk through the scarab go down, then through a set of doors. Follow the left hall and open the door bearing the hieroglyphics. Open the bars and approach the stone block to set down the rough-cut gem. Go around and press all the buttons to cut the gem. Jump up to grab what is now the Serpent's Eye gem. Return to the hall and make a left. Continue down the hall and enter the Serpent's Room through a door on the left. Descend the stairs and put the Serpent's Eye on the pedestal to trigger the bridge. Go up to the serpent to stir him, then kill him (he should be awake if you want to kill him). Grab the Hapy Canopic jar. Return to the hall and make a right at the fountain. Climb back up the ramp and jump across three pillars to get to the balcony. The wall will shatter. Follow the hall around to an area with pillars around a red carpet. The carpet is a trap, so don't tread on it yet. Push on the wall with the bloody handprint and hit the ankh- shaped button. The Pharaoh's scepter will appear back in the main room. Go back and get it. Walk slowly up to the red carpet. When it opens up, avoid the spikes, land, and go through the hall, up the ramp, and pass through the exit to your left. Follow the hall around and to the right and open up the door with the hieroglyphics. Pass through the fake wall next to the body, and head up the stairs. Press on another bloody handprint and proceed forward through a set of doors. Climb a bank of sand to the right of the coffin and climb up to the ledge. The panels should be pressed in the following order: middle (figure), left (decorated), right (decorated). Jump into the coffin and take the steps.

Walk down the hall and you'll come to a single beam. Get the Glyph and drop down. Push the iron barrels onto the floor buttons around the perimeter of the room to open a doorway. Enter the door and proceed through a set of double doors. Place the staff by the bust of Anubis. Go up a new ramp on the other side of Anubis and go through the door. Collect the Duamutef Canopic jar. Walk up to the bars and wait for them to open. When you get to the body, turn around, and go through the fake wall once more. Climb up the ramp, turn right, then left at the Cobra fountain and follow the path to the red teleporter. Enter the Temple of Horus. Turn right at the ankh on the floor and find the teleporter leading to the Palace of the Pharaoh and enter. Go back through the tube on the right. Jump into the water again and go a little further, this time through the door bearing the symbol of the bird. Go to the left of the statues and break the cracked wall to the left. Swim through the tunnel and take the first right. Go up the ramp and open the red wall. Jump down and leave the water via the stairs on your left. Read the sign about the vernal equinox. Step on the plate to open up a door above. Jump into the water on the right and go straight through the underwater tunnel. Exit through the teleporter. Head up the stairs, continue down the hall, and come to a room with a ramp on the right. Desecrating the bust of Anubis will reveal a room containing armor and mana. Run up the ramp to a room with a locked door and an open door. Go right through the open door and proceed toward the throne room. Go forward and watch for beams projected by the statues. Activate the switch behind the pillar to the left of the throne. Follow the ramp down into the room and get the pharaoh's key. Return to the other door (the locked one). Open it and go into the bedchamber. Fire at the scarab to the left of the tub to open a secret passage. Go through to the burial chamber, down a ramp, through the door on the left, and up the ramps. Go to the top and collect the Qebhsenuef Canopic jar. Climb back down the ramps and return to the burial chamber. Put all the jars onto each beveled side of the central altar. Hop onto the boat and sail forward. Enter the red teleporter leading to the Temple of Light. Go straight up the stairs and to the right. At the pit with the box in the center, drop down where there's a golem. Now take the exit to your left and go up the ramp. Jump up the steps on the right and activate the lever. This will open up two doors back in the trench. Jump down and turn around to grab the Key of Ra.
